LĀU Clothing / Minimal Design for synthesis lovers
LĀU Clothing is a made in Italy Women's top brand founded in 2011. The love for geometry and art in all its expressions has driven LĀU Clothing to create aunique and recognizable style through the power of synthesis. Irony, bold colors and oversized silouhettes define a comfy style combined with trompe l'oeil details and hints of a sporty elegance.
Along with seasonal collections, LĀU Clothing also collaborates with international artists and creatives to create limited editions that will never bore you.
LĀU Clothing is a project by Lisa Anderlini, an Italian designer with an eclectic background: a Master of Science in Architecture, the love for Art and Design, her personal interest with the surreal world of maths: different experiences related to the quest for finding shape, material, and synthesis. The travels and dreams also provide inspiration for LĀU Clothing, a metaphysical place where Lisa’s watchword,”strength, elegance and spirit”, are described through abstract, dreamlike and timeless realities.

LĀU Clothing is a "one woman band" project, I do everyhting from designing the collections to the first prototyping. I build the first pattern and I choose textiles, color palettes and work on concept. I personally follow the production and do quality control. Also I work on the adv image and realize all the campaign props on my own. Actually as an architect, this is the best part of the job!

Production
I have just a few external collaborator, everything is produced in 2 small family run laboratories here in Rome. I produce just about 40ish styles per year, more or less something as 1000 items per year, normally these numbers don't exist in the fashion industry with the F. Furthermore everything has been projected almost a year before, so I'm very far away from a fast fashion brand!
Every style is sold on the website until there's just 1 left and there's not left over production at all in my laboratory. My warehouse is just a big closet!
Materials
All the fabrics, textile print and accessories are produced and realized in Italy, I work with 10 suppliers in total, most of them are also in turn small family run buisness too.
I use zero Ecotex Standars Certified fabrics, that means CO2 emmissions, and recycled polyester when used, but I'm not perfect and I'm not completely a susteinable brand. But I'm working hard day by day to deliver you a more responsible product.
